To achieve the Paris Agreement of Net Zero Carbon by 2050 will require radical innovation, that is completely new models and methods of managing, producing and consuming tourism. Incremental steps will not be sufficient to negate tourism growth nor our over consumption of natural resources. Innovation is not a new concept for Responsible Tourism because its principle is based on “making better places for people to live in and better places to visit”, that is to say evolving new improved approaches rather than refining the status quo.
